United Nations University (UNU) is a global think tank and postgraduate teaching organisation and as such part of the large UN family. Sustainable Cycles (SCYCLE) is specialized programme of UNU hosted by its Vice Rectorate in Europe (UNU-ViE). SCYCLE’s mission is to promote sustainable production, consumption and disposal patterns for electrical and electronic equipment (EEE), as well as for other ubiquitous goods. SCYCLE leads the global e-waste discussion and advances sustainable e-waste management strategies based on life-cycle thinking.
Within the WasteForce project, UNU-ViE SCYCLE is acting as scientific coordinator, supporting IMPEL with the overall coordination of the project. The UNU-ViE SCYCLE team leads the international networking activities (WP3), contributes to the research and analysis activities (WP1, WP2) and the capacity building activities (WP4), and supports in the dissemination activities (WP5).
