December 20, 2018 //  by Nancy Isarin

Directly after the Grant Agreement between DG Home and IMPEL was signed, the partners of the WasteProject project held their inception meeting 5-6 December 2018 in the Netherlands. The meeting was hosted by one of the partners, the Dutch Forensic Institute in the Hague.

The Kick-off meeting was a good opportunity for all consortium partners to meet in person and officially launch the project. The meeting was aimed at:

  • Review the project objectives and work packages (WPs);
  • Discuss the past experiences of the partners, the role of the respective organisations in the project, and the expectations of the partners regarding the project and expected results;
  • Discuss the management and coordination of the project, including administrative details and project monitoring.
WasteForce partners and High-level Advisory Board members

Back to back, the High-Level Advisory Board (H-LAB) meeting was organised, during which the project and the consortium was presented to the H-LAB members. The meeting aimed to detail the role of the H-LAB (review, advise and disseminate) and brainstorm on the involvement of H-LAB members in the different work packages and get an insight on relevant activities by H-LAB members to identify possible synergies.
